Cycle Tour of Bangkok Floating Market

This one-day tour combines a visit to the famous Damnoen Nam Saduak floating market with a gentle ride through surrounding countryside. After the market and boat ride to Wat Amphawan Chetiyaram, you'll cycle along quiet roads bordered by fruit orchards, stopping to visit old temples, ancient army garrisons and a Catholic church.

Guides set a gentle pace, and explain the history, culture and local way-of-life along the way. You have a Thai lunch on Mae Klong's banks before returning to the floating market and your transport back to Bangkok

Day 1: Cycle Tour of Floating Market Bangkok - Samut Songkram - Bangkok 32 km [L] ( Pick up and drop off at all major Bangkok hotels. )

06:45 - 07:30 Pick up from hotels.

07:30 - 08:45 Drive to Samut Songkram.

08:45 - 09:15 Visit Damnoen Nam Saduak (Floating Market).

09:15 - 10:00 Long tail boat ride through the maze of canals to Wat Amphawan Chetiyaram

10:00 - 12:00 Ride along back roads visiting Ban Khai Noi, Ban Bung before arriving at our lunch stop Suan Rim Nam. (19km)

12:00 - 13:00 Enjoy lunch on the banks of the Mae Klong River

13:00 - 14:30 Ride more back roads back to our start point of the floating market. (13 km)

14:30 - 14:45 Load bikes and visit temple at finish point

14:45 - 16:30 Drive back top Bangkok and drop off at hotels.

Road Surface: This tour follows a mix of asphalt roads, vehicle-width dirt roads, and canal paths. No technical ability is required.

Support: One or two seat 8-seat air-conditioned minibuses fitted with two-way radio and specially converted to take bikes and bikers.

Staff: Each tour is led by at least one fully-trained English speaking tour guide.

Food: Lunch is a delicious Thai lunch. Soft drinks, water and fruit are available all day.
