Highlights of the Central Highlands
Day 1: Arrival Da Nang – Hoi An (D)

• Welcome at Da Nang Airport.
• Short city tour to Cham Museum.
• Continue drive to visit Marble Mountains, the caves temples, shrines and pagodas can be reached by climbing steep steps (please wear appropriate shoes).
• Proceed to Hoi An. Dinner at restaurant.
• Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 2: Hoi An - My Son (B, L)

• Drive to My Son, the imperial city of the Champa empire of the 4th to 12th centuries, My Son Sanctuary is a large complex of religious ruins comprising more than 70 architectural remains.
• Continue to Hoi An for lunch and in the afternoon discover Hoi An town by cyclo, which was an important trading port during the 17th and 18th centuries and which, nowadays, is officially listed as a World Heritage site. We plan to visit the Japanese Bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda, Phung Hung Merchant House, Quang Dong Assembly.
• Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 3: Hoi An - Quy Nhon (B, D)

• Breakfast at hotel then continue southward to Quy Nhon.
• Enjoy rural scenery en route.
• Dinner at restaurant.
• Overnight in Quy Nhon.

Day 4: Quy Nhon - Pleiku - Ban Me Thuot (B, L)

• Starting to explore Central Highland of Vietnam where still preserve many rich cultural custom of ethnic people, visit ethnic villages and get acquainted with people in Pleiku.
• Lunch at restaurant.
• Continue to Ban Me Thuot.
• Overnight in Ban Me Thuot.

Day 5: Buon Ma Thuot (B, D)

• Excursion to Dray Sap Waterfalls and Ede Village
Head outside town to visit the spectacular DRAY SAP WATERFALLS, which cascade over a 100m width in the middle of a beautiful rainforest setting. On the way back to town, stop at the EDE VILLAGE OF TUA to learn about the traditional lifestyles of the Ede people. Although the town has become largely assimilated in appearance, the village families continue to live in traditional longhouses and follow a matrilineal hierarchy.
• Excursion to Lak Lake with boat trip and elephant riding
Journey south on Route 27, a breathtaking road past forest, coffee plantations and rice fields. Arrive at LAK LAKE, a tranquil area where inhabitants still follow a traditional rural lifestyle. Enjoy a BOAT TRIP by dugout canoe takes to various MNONG VILLAGES on the lake. This matrilineal tribe passes name and inheritance through the female line, and generally live in longhouses. Enjoy one hour elephant ride (2 people per elephant). Finally, continue to the small VILLA OF EMPEROR BAO DAI, built as a countryside retreat, and enjoy the lovely lake views. Note: Elephant riding can be cancelled without prior notice for safety reason due to elephant can become aggressive especially during hot weather
• Overnight in Buon Ma Thuot.

Day 6: Yok Don National Park (B, D)

• By vehicle from Buon Ma Thuot to Yok Don National Park
• Trekking in the area of Yok Don National Park with boat trip on Serepuk river
Journey to BAN DON village, the gateway to YOK DON NATIONAL PARK. Over 12 ethnic groups inhabit the park, mainly Ede and Mnong. Begin with a boat trip along the SEREPOK RIVER (not possible from May to December). Return to the village for lunch and a quick break with traditional folksongs before beginning your trek into the parklands. It is also possible to do an optional ELEPHANT RIDE (depending on the season and on the availability of elephants). Overnight is in a traditional stilt house or long house.
• Overnight in Yok Don National Park.

Day 7: Buon Ma Thuot – Departure (B)

• Sightseeing in Buon Ma Thuot
The capital of Dac Lac province, BUON MA THUOT is a prosperous town in a region known for coffee plantations and diverse Montagnard poplation. In the morning, visit the town highlights, beginning with the ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM, which provides a comprehensive insight into the many distinct ethnic groups of the province, which include the Ede and M'nong, among others. Displays feature traditional Montagnard dress, as well as agricultural implements, fishing gear and musical instruments. Continue to the KHAI DOAN PAGODA, the LAC GIAO TEMPLE and the local CATHOLIC CHURCH.
• Transfer to the airport for departure. End of services.
