Kiteboarding & Wind Surfing

Mui Ne beach is great for kiteboarding and wind surfing. Pioneers in the two sports discovered the beach about ten years ago and for a long time the area was one of Vietnam's best-kept secrets. Now the secret is out.

Golf

Mui Ne and Phan Thiet are becoming a hot spot for golfers. The first international club to open, in 1996, was the 18-hole Ocean Dunes Golf Club.

It was designed by Nick Faldo who remarked, "It has the feel and the playability of early Scottish seaside courses [but] in a tropical climate." The club is at 1 Ton Duc Thang, Phan Thiet.

The second course is the Sea Links Golf Course which so far has nine out of a planned 18 holes. The course is part of a large complex, under construction since 2006. When complete in 2009, this will include a five-star hotel, swimming pools, tennis courts, restaurants and entertainment facilities.

Spa & Massage

No holiday is complete without a good long session relaxing in a spa, enjoying an oil or traditional massage and other luxurious treatments. There is a good range of spas in Mui Ne and Phan Thiet, both in hotels and in day spa centres.

The Sailing Club Lotus Day Spa is set in tropical gardens. Treatments may be enjoyed alfresco in the open-air hut or in the spa room. The spa is a part of the Sailing Club, a boutique beach resort at 24 Nguyen Dinh Chieu Ham Tien, Mui Ne.

Victoria Phan Thiet Beach Resort & Spa offers a variety of spa treatments in any of six pavilions right next to the beach. The pavilions reflect the romantic design of the entire resort, which is designed along the lines of a traditional Vietnamese country house. It is nine km from Phan Thiet.
